ABOUT ME

I’m Zaneta, a bodyworker specialising in integrative, nervous system–focused treatments.

My work is centred around helping people reconnect with their body, release tension, and find a deeper sense of ease—physically and internally.

THE

BODY

I see the body as intelligent.

Not something to correct, but something to listen to.

It holds patterns: of tension, of protection, of adaptation, but it also holds the capacity to reorganise when given the right conditions: time, attention, and safety.

In my work, I’m interested in what happens when we stop overriding those signals, and instead begin to meet them more gently.

NOTE FROM ME

I didn’t arrive here through a straight path.

This work grew from my own need to understand my body, not only in terms of structure, but in terms of how it holds stress, emotion, and experience.

Receiving bodywork changed something in me. It softened the constant intensity I used to live in. It gave my system space to settle, and from there, clarity slowly returned.

That experience stayed with me.

Over time, I began to study different approaches to the body, the nervous system, and how we regulate and organise ourselves through touch, presence, and attention.

What I return to again and again is this:

when the body feels safe enough to soften, something begins to shift.

MY JOURNEY SO FAR

I’ve been practicing as a holistic massage therapist since 2019, after training at the National Training Centre in Dublin.

From the beginning, I was drawn to the subtle intelligence of the body, how it communicates through tension, holding, ease, and release, and how much can shift through attentive, grounded touch.

Over time, I felt called to deepen my understanding of more clinical and therapeutic work, and completed advanced ITEC-accredited training in clinical massage with the Healing Massage Training Centre in Ashbourne (2024). This helped me refine my understanding of anatomy and tension patterns.

Yoga has been a steady and important part of my own practice since 2013 and part of learning since 2019, when I completed my 200-hour foundational teacher training with Earthwise Yoga in Enniscorthy. Since then, I’ve continued to explore Yin, Restorative, Trauma-Informed, and SOMA Yoga. This has shaped not just how I move, but also how I listen to the body, to breath, and to the subtle ways the nervous system expresses itself. It has deeply influenced how I hold space in my bodywork.

Since 2024, I’ve been training in traditional Thai massage and modern Thai yoga massage. My foundation is rooted in the Asokananda lineage and the Sunshine Network approach. Alongside this, I’ve also been drawn to more integrative and evolving approaches, where I can respond more directly to what I feel in the body rather than working from a fixed sequence. I often combine fascial and somatic awareness, allowing each session to unfold in a more responsive way.

My Thai training includes ITEC Table Thai with Golden Egg Holistic in Portlaoise, Thai Yoga Massage with Bhavani Thai Massage & Integrative Bodywork in Belfast, Dynamic Thai training with Flora Bisogno, and ongoing one-to-one mentorship, which continues to be a really important part of my learning and growth.

A particularly meaningful part of my journey has been training in Somatic Bodywork with Integrative Bodywork Ireland in West Cork. This work is rooted in Thai massage, but expands into a more fluid and integrative approach, bringing in influences from craniosacral work, osteopathy, physiotherapy, and a deep attention to fascia and the body’s internal rhythms. It has really supported me in trusting subtlety and working with what is present rather than what is expected.

More recently, I’ve been expanding into skincare and facial therapies through ongoing ITEC training, with a growing interest in the head, face, and jaw, and how these areas hold so much of our story, tension, and expression.
